I have to say that I really needed to get this blog up and get my feelings out about this show. I'll try to be PC about what I say, b/c I don't want to get beaten down by my wife ("#1 LOST FAN"), but there are things about this show that really bother me and I feel like this may be the only way I can get them out.
1. F%*k this Show! (there...I said it)
2. I really can't believe that so many people watch this stupid show (including me...I'll explain later).
3. I watch about 40 hours of TV/week and I have to say that this hour is the one that I dread the most.
4. I have seen every episode of LOST.
5. I have hated every single episode of LOST.
6. I love my TIVO.
7. I am no longer allowed to watch this show with my lovely wife.
So, there's the groundwork... When I first pitched this blog idea to my brother...he told me that I must have a love/hate relationship with the show. Well, I totally disagree...it's all HATE. I normally don't use the word hate (I did use it last week when my dog tripped me as I tumbled down 10 stairs), but this show brings the worst out in me.
I have been watching this show with the idea that something...anything would come to closure, and I think that is why I still watch...I'm just hoping that some of these answers from season 1 will still be answered. I know...I know...I've heard it before..."there have been answers" or "why do you think they haven't finished anything" or "OMG, I can't wait to see where that story takes me"...Please people...Seriously!!! The first of many videos that I posted is exactly what I mean, WHAT? WHAT? WHAT?
Anyhow, I'm already exhausted (and I still have to watch this weeks episode of LOST!!!)

The fact that you actually created a blog to talk about Lost means that you spend a lot of time thinking about it...and that proves whether you love or hate the show it gets you thinking!!!! Oh yeah you love it!
ReplyDeleteI agree hilstr! All I see when I read this post is someone who is interested and looks forward to seeing this show every week. Believe me..I HATE a lot of shows. I know this because if I sit through 5 minutes of one of them I feel like I want to punch a baby..especially ANYTHING on MTV. No one is holding a gun to his head to watch this show yet he continues to watch it week in and week out. Sounds like a fan to me!

ReplyDeleteYou know you love Lost. Don't deny it. I've always thought you are just pretending to hate it because EVERYONE else loves it. You are trying to go against what society thinks about this show. It's okay to be one of us.........don't be an Other!!!

ReplyDeleteExactly how I feel. Its one thing to write a show that keeps people coming back for the next episode, and another thing to write a good show. Nothing ever happens in Lost. Its pretty much as if the show 'sold out' after the first season
